Attorney Marcus Wilkerson is a Southeast Texas native claiming Orange, Texas as his hometown. He graduated from West Orange Stark High School in 1998, then spent 2.5 years at Texas A&M University as a biomedical science major. He left school and moved back home in the summer of 2001 and worked at a call center providing technical support and RadioShack before going back to school in 2015 to Lamar University and graduating in 2017, summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in social work. He then studied at South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas, where he graduated with honors December 2010.
Mr. Wilkerson is a first generation college graduate being the first member of his immediate and extended family to earn a four year degree, then going on to earn a professional doctorate of jurisprudence. Since he was young he has been driven by an ambition of helping others improve their lives. His father was a construction worker which resulted in multiple moves until he was in sixth grade when his family settled in Orange. His mother was a LVN for 25 years, which is why he initially was interested in the medical field. He has lived in the "real world" and brings that experience to the table when helping clients meet their needs. Mr. Wilkerson also serves on the board of the Beaumont/Southeast Texas chapter of PFLAG.
Mr. Wilkerson's primary areas of practice are Jefferson County, Orange County, and Hardin County, but he will take cases further from his area depending on the need and circumstances.
